- Judging from responses and from my Users Group, most people who have expanded
- a CD32 have done so with an SX-1. The SX-1 has a pass-thru for the expansion slot
- so the bay that was designed to house the FMV could be used for such an accelerator
- addon along with the SX-1 so you get a CD32 with accelerator and RGB/parralel/serial/floppy
- IDE and RAM expansion. Let's face it who still wants the FMV????? The price is ridiculous and
- development and manufacturing for this addon have died horrible on the Amiga.
- Best shot if you want to make some money would be designing an accelerator to use with
- a CD32-SX-1 combo or with the CD32 alone. Would be best route as the design would be exactly
- the same for both users with just a CD32 and users with a CD32-SX1 combo as the accelerator
- would use the expansion slot which the SX-1 gives a pass thru.
- Currently we have 75 users in my group "Dark-SIDE-Amiga" with CD32/SX-1 setups.
